Students have collected enough gifts to fill over 50 shoeboxes for troops in Afghanistan. Emily Carr sister of Lance Corporal Aaron Carr who is on his second tour of duty with the Parachute Regiment explained;  “ We have tried to send the gifts to troops who are receiving little communication from people in Britain. Frontline troops live off ration packs for the length of their tour and the gifts sent by our students will be a welcome treat.

Marian Carr,  a school inclusion officer added;  The pupils have really worked hard putting these packs together and the letters we have had back from the troops are really very touching
