Awards Evening 2011

On 15th December Samuel Ward Academy held its first Award’s Evening as a new Academy with over 70 pupils gaining prizes from year 7 to 13. Over 400 parents, Business Leaders and dignitaries including Councillor Roger Andre from Haverhill Town Council and Allan Loveday from Vion Uk attended the event. Chair of Governors, Peter Thomas congratulated the successful pupils and Howard Lay, in his opening address, praised the school, staff and pupils for their outstanding results and the growing reputation the Academy was gaining at local and national level.

 Among the Award winners were:

Max Murphy – Glasswells Award

Georgina Ottaway – Sperling Retail Ltd Award

Jacob Simmons – Haverhill Town Council Award

Nicola Hornby – Young Chamber & Ambassador Special Award

Bartie Shirm – The Herbert Group Special Award

Rowen Brittain – Vion UK Community Achievement Award

Oliver Rushmer – Titan Hardward Ltd Award

William Howe – The Adams Harrison Special Award
