Dear Parents and Carers

I am writing you to let you know about a few forth coming events and end of term events arrangements.

The KS4 play will take place on the 22-24 November at 7.00pm in the Drama studio. This is an opportunity to see the work of our Drama students as they perform “Chequered Flags to Chequered Futures”. Tickets are on sale now from the School Office at a cost of £7.00 & £5.00 concession.

A reminder there is a Year 11 Parents’ evening on Thursday 30 November from 4.00pm – 7.00pm and a Year 13 Parents’ evening on the Tuesday 5 December from 4.00pm. If you have students in these year groups your support at these is much appreciated.

Christmas lunch for students will be available on Tuesday 12, Wednesday 13 and Thursday 14 December 2017. Cost will be £2.50. Payment can be made via Parent Pay accordingly by the students.

The annual Christmas concert will be on Tuesday 19 December at 7.00pm in the sports hall. Tickets will be available from the School Office from the first week in December at a cost of £8.00 and £5.00 concession. This is a popular event and tickets are snapped up early so don’t forget to get yours.

Some students will have a reward non-uniform day on the 19 December for all those Tutor groups who have achieved 500 or more House points.

Term finishes on Wednesday 20 December at 1.00pm, with a non-uniform day as well as the traditional Perform concert hosted by our own students in celebration of the end of term. A donation of at least £1 to participate will be collected on the gate. Profits from these events will go to our

House charities, Help for Heroes, Plan and Make a Wish foundation.

As last year and some other schools in the area, students will be able to leave site at 1.00pm after the festivities. Transport for bus students has been arranged to facilitate this. Please be aware of the change in time to the end of this school day.

Yours sincerely

Mark Neild
