School Uniform

School uniform is compulsory for all students in Years 7 – 11

 For Years 7, 8 & 9 Samuel Ward Academy uniform consists of:

Those students in current Years 10 and 11 will continue to wear the existing polo shirt/sweatshirt format. Please adhere to the following information regarding trousers. If in doubt, check with an Inclusion Officer Mrs Carr, Mrs Rose or Mrs Hallinan or with Mr McCullough.

Skinny trousers, black jeggings, harem style trousers and trousers made from cotton, linen or jean type material are not permitted.

Restrictions

Hair, jewellery, make-up and nail varnish: Hair should be a natural colour, therefore dyed/two-tone hair is not allowed. Hair shorter than a no.3, tramlines, dreadlocks or braids or any other hair style that is not in keeping with the school uniform code will be dealt with accordingly.
The
only jewellery allowed is one pair of studs or small sleepers, one in each lobe, and one ring. No other piercings are allowed.  Make-up, if worn, should be of natural tones and subtly applied.  Coloured nail varnish must not be worn. Tattoos are not permitted.

Black plimsolls will be issued if there is a problem with school shoes.
School Uniform with logos can only be bought from Samuel Ward.
