LABLIVE event

Dear Parent/Guardian and Student

We are very excited to offer Year 8 students the opportunity to attend LABLIVE.  This is a spectacular STEM show that is part of the Cheltenham Science Festival. Russell Arnott, a marine microbiologist and Suze Kundu, a nanochemist will run interactive lectures entitles ‘Sea soup’ and ‘Engineering superheroes’ covering some of the latest scientific themes.

The tickets for this event are free (there is only a travel cost) but there are limited places, if oversubscribed these will be allocated via a draw and you will be notified by text if successful. The cost will appear on your Parentpay account following the draw and payment must be made by Friday 23 November or the place will be given to another student.

Details of LABLIVE event

Date: Tuesday 27 November 2018

Time: Leaving school at 11am – returning to school at 3.45-4pm

Venue: Trinity Park, Ipswich.

Coach Cost:  £8.50

Lunch: You will need to bring a packed lunch.

The attached consent form must be returned to school by Tuesday 20 November and you will be notified by text on Wednesday 21 November if you have a place, to secure the place payment must be made by Friday 23 November or the place will automaticlally be given to another student. 

Please note that parents are required to make arrangements for students to be collected from school as we will not return to school before the end of the school day.
